Popular social commentator VeryDarkMan (VDM) has triggered outrage online after calling out the Ekiti State Government for what he described as a heartless 2026 budget allocation to healthcare.
In a viral video, VDM accused the governor and state lawmakers of prioritising personal comfort over human lives, warning:
“God will punish you. Not just you, but every member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly. When you don’t fear God, you will enjoy His punishment.”
VDM revealed that out of a proposed N415.5 billion budget, only N68 million was allocated to primary healthcare, with just N1.6 million for drugs and medical supplies.
Meanwhile, lawmakers reportedly approved hundreds of millions for allowances, furniture, refreshments, and office equipment.“You people budget more money for food, furniture and sitting down than for hospitals. God will punish you,” he said.
The video has sparked intense debate online, with many Nigerians questioning the state’s budgeting priorities and calling for accountability.
