Pastor Chris Okafor, Senior Pastor of Mountain of Liberation and Miracles Ministries, has voluntarily turned himself in to the Lagos State Police following serious allegations of misconduct.
The pastor had failed to appear for a scheduled police invitation on Monday, despite prior notification by the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti.
Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, confirmed that Okafor initially indicated through his lawyer that he would appear on Monday.
After his absence, police issued a directive for his arrest, prompting him to report to authorities on Tuesday.
The case has been transferred to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 2, Sylvester Alabi, for further investigation.
CP Jimoh highlighted the growing influence of social media in prompting law enforcement to act, stressing that complaints lodged online play a crucial role in maintaining public order.
The controversy began in December 2025 when multiple allegations surfaced online, drawing widespread public attention.
