The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has started physical checks of credentials and travel documents for Nigerian graduates who studied abroad and registered for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Service Year.
The exercise runs from Monday, 10 November, to Wednesday, 12 November, at centres across the country.
NYSC stated that only prospective corps members whose documents have not yet been verified after online registration are required to participate.
The agency said participants must arrive at their designated centres on the date and time printed on their verification slips, bringing original copies of all credentials submitted online.
Verification centres include the NYSC Secretariat in Enugu, Orientation Camps in Abuja and Lagos, military barracks in Bauchi, Kano, and Sokoto, as well as secretariats in Osogbo, Port Harcourt, and Yola.
Medical graduates are required to present professional licences and registration certificates in addition to their academic documents.
Foreign degrees requiring recognition must be accompanied by evaluation letters from the Federal Ministry of Education.
NYSC emphasised that only graduates whose documents are physically verified and cleared will be deployed, exempted, or excluded from the national service.
The verification follows a recent 48-hour extension of online registration to address network issues.
The Corps urged all affected graduates to comply fully with the instructions to avoid delays in mobilisation.
