Founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has urged Nigerians to prioritise visionary leadership ahead of the 2027 general elections, warning that the country’s economic condition could worsen if citizens continue making poor political choices.
Speaking during a recent sermon, the cleric lamented the steady depreciation of the naira over the years and cautioned that the situation could become more severe without competent leadership.
He advised Nigerians to focus less on political parties and more on candidates with clear developmental plans and integrity.
Pastor Ibiyeomie also criticised politicians who frequently defect between parties for personal gain, describing such actions as selfish and unprincipled.
He further condemned vote-buying, warning citizens against exchanging their future for temporary financial benefits during elections.
According to the preacher, national progress can only be achieved when voters choose leaders based on vision, character, and genuine concern for the country.
