Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has stirred reactions on social media after categorising supporters of President Bola Tinubu’s administration into three groups while expressing concern over Nigeria’s current situation.
In a post shared on her Instagram page, the actress said the first category consists of people who, in her view, recognise that things are not working but remain attached to the government because of personal ties they cannot abandon.
She described the second group as “believers” who remain hopeful that future developments, including a possible second term, could bring positive change.
Jegede said the third category comprises what she called “delusional” supporters who, according to her, live in a bubble and require prayers.
The actress’ comments add to a growing list of criticisms from entertainers regarding the state of the nation and the performance of the current administration.
Her remarks come after previous public statements in which she criticised supporters of the government, while other Nigerian celebrities have also voiced concerns about governance, economic challenges and the country’s direction.
