Nollywood actor and producer Olaide Olabanji has accused actress Mercy Aigbe of ingratitude, claiming he introduced her to the film industry.
In a recent interview, Olabanji alleged that he discovered Aigbe in 2004 while she was working in a shop and encouraged her to pursue acting.
He said he gave her an early opportunity in Nollywood, which helped launch her career.
According to him, their relationship was initially cordial but deteriorated after Aigbe gained fame.
He claimed the actress became distant, unapproachable, and eventually blocked him on social media.
Olabanji further alleged that their encounters have since been tense, expressing disappointment over what he described as a betrayal.
He also claimed that Aigbe now acts as though he no longer exists, despite his role in her early career.The allegations have sparked reactions online among fans.
