Grammy-nominated Nigerian singer Davido has apologised to fans after failing to appear at a scheduled performance in Lagos, citing aviation fuel challenges.
The artist was billed to headline an event alongside Zlatan Ibile at Secret Place in Ikate Elegushi during the venue’s fifth anniversary celebration. However, his absence sparked reactions among fans who had gathered for the show.
In an Instagram story posted on Monday, Davido explained that logistical disruptions prevented him from travelling as planned.“The world happened to me yesterday. Finding fuel was a problem to even fly. Everything had to be rescheduled,” he said.
He linked the difficulty to global tensions affecting fuel availability. Davido apologised to fans and assured them the performance would be rescheduled, reiterating his support for the organisers and appreciation for those who attended.
