YouTube has removed the official video of ‘Different Pattern,’ a hit song by Nigerian singer Seyi Vibez, following a copyright infringement claim.
The takedown was triggered by the alleged unauthorised use of sampled material in the song’s introduction.
The intro reportedly draws from the works of two late Nigerian music icons, highlife legend Orlando Owoh and Apala music pioneer Musiliu Haruna Ishola.

‘Different Pattern’ was one of the standout tracks on Seyi Vibez’s EP, ‘NAHAMciaga,’ released in December 2023. The project enjoyed massive commercial success, becoming a viral sensation and ranking among Nigeria’s most-streamed songs in 2024.
The video was pulled from YouTube in the early hours of today after a copyright complaint was upheld. According to details of the claim, the infringement specifically relates to the unauthorised use of Orlando Owoh’s material.
The song was released during Seyi Vibez’s time with Dapper Music, the record label he officially parted ways with in September 2024. Since then, the artiste has continued his career independently under his own imprint, Vibez INC.
