Popular Nigerian gospel singer Taiwo Adegbodu, widely known by his stage name SirTee, has tragically passed away, leaving fans and the gospel music community in shock.
Reports indicate that the musician, one half of a twin, died during the night, with news spreading rapidly on social media.
A Facebook fan page dedicated to the twins shared a heartfelt tribute, expressing deep grief: “TAIWO, why will you leave me and your kids without notification? My heart is bleeding… God why? This is too much for me to bear!!!”
The outpouring of condolences included fellow gospel artists and fans alike, who prayed for strength for his family.
Adegbodu was celebrated for blending traditional and contemporary gospel music, making his death a significant loss to the Nigerian gospel scene.
His passing comes just months after the death of gospel minister Bunmi Akinaanu, also known as Omije Ojumi, leaving the community mourning consecutive losses.
