First Lady Senator Remi Tinubu and Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke had a brief confrontation on Sunday in Ile-Ife during the 10th coronation anniversary of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, where she received the chieftaincy title of Yeye-Asiwaju of Ile Oodua.
The ceremony drew national figures including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, sitting and former governors, senators and prominent traditional rulers.

Trouble began when Governor Adeleke mounted the podium to deliver his remarks. True to his trademark style, he danced for a few seconds and then began singing.
The First Lady approached him, telling him: “I’m giving you five minutes to finish your speech. The music is enough.”
Adeleke continued singing, prompting Mrs. Tinubu to return and warn: “I will turn off the microphone. Stop the music.”
Video clips of the encounter have since circulated widely on social media.
