Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Queen Atang, became one of the talking points at the 12th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) after arriving on the red carpet in a bread-themed outfit.
The reality TV star attended the event held on Saturday in Lagos, where celebrities and entertainment personalities showcased a variety of unconventional fashion styles.
Queen later explained the inspiration behind her appearance in a post shared on Instagram, saying the concept reflected her identity as a businesswoman in the food industry.
According to her, she attended the event “as an entrepreneur who runs a bread empire”.
She noted that the creative outfit was deliberately designed to align with the AMVCA’s celebration of artistry and craftsmanship.
The look also featured a jug prop, which formed part of the overall presentation and drew attention from guests and online viewers alike.
Videos circulating from the red carpet captured moments the former reality star adjusted the elaborate outfit while moving around the venue, sparking mixed reactions across social media platforms.
The 12th edition of the AMVCA featured several bold and dramatic fashion statements from actors, influencers, and content creators, many of whom interpreted the event’s themes of creativity and excellence through unconventional designs.
Organised by MultiChoice, the annual awards celebrate achievements in African film, television, and digital content.
This year’s ceremony featured 32 award categories, including 18 jury-based awards, 11 audience-voted categories, and three honorary recognitions.
The organisers also introduced two additional regional categories — Best Indigenous Language Film for North Africa and Central Africa — aimed at expanding representation across the continent.
