The Deejays Association of Nigeria (DJAN) has dismissed viral reports alleging it banned Burna Boy’s music following a reported altercation involving the singer and DJ Tunez, describing the claims as false and misleading.
In a statement issued by DJAN National President Prince Akim Edeh, the association said it did not authorise any ban on Burna Boy or any other artist and condemned the misuse of its logo in spreading misinformation across media platforms.
DJAN clarified that DJ Tunez is not a registered member of the association and urged the public to disregard circulating reports linking the body to disciplinary action against the Grammy-winning artiste.
The association stressed that it is monitoring developments surrounding the incident and awaiting the outcome of ongoing investigations. It reaffirmed its commitment to promoting peace, professionalism, and collaboration within the entertainment industry.
DJAN further called for restraint, urging stakeholders and media outlets to avoid sensationalism while facts are still being established.
