Veteran filmmaker and Chief Executive Officer of Wale Adenuga Productions, Wale Adenuga, has dismissed claims by actor Abiodun Ayoyinka, popularly known as Papa Ajasco, that he is facing financial hardship.
Adenuga described the claims as “false and misleading”, stressing that Ayoyinka was never barred from taking advertising jobs but must seek approval to protect the Papa Ajasco and Company brand.
“Candidly, I want to ofthat followed his interview, not with malice, but in the interest of truth,” Adenuga said.
He noted that Ayoyinka served as a Lagos State civil servant for over three decades and retired honourably, adding that the production company supported him over the years, including providing vehicles.
Questioning the hardship claim, Adenuga asked where the actor’s gratuities and long-term investments went.
