Socialite and entrepreneur Cubana Chief Priest has admitted that his decision to oppose President Bola Tinubu in the 2023 elections was a mistake.
Speaking at a political event in Imo State, he said, “At the first election, I didn’t support President Tinubu. I had to be an Igbo boy and made some careless mistake, but they said a first fool isn’t a fool, second fool is a proper fool. Asiwaju is working and he will finish the work. Seyi Tinubu made me see President Tinubu.”
Chief Priest revealed a strategic shift, deciding to work with the federal government rather than oppose it, praising Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma for fostering development through collaboration with Abuja.
He also lauded Seyi Tinubu for uniting Nigerians across ethnic and regional lines.
Acknowledging that previous political opposition yielded little, he emphasised the importance of supporting the current administration, urging Nigerians to unite and cooperate with President Tinubu while promising stronger mobilisation ahead of future elections.
