List of Nigerian artistes nominated for 2026 Grammy

Nigerian music continues to make a strong impression on the global stage, with several artistes securing nominations at the 2026 Annual Grammy Awards.

The nominations, announced by the Recording Academy on November 7, 2025, cover works released between September 16, 2024, and August 31, 2025.

The 68th awards ceremony will hold on February 1, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Below is the list of Nigerian artistes nominated for the 2026 Grammy Awards and the categories they appear in:

  1. Burna Boy

Best African Music Performance: “Love”

Best Global Music Album: No Sign of Weakness

Burna Boy extends his remarkable Grammy run, earning his seventh consecutive nomination, having been nominated every year from 2020 to 2026.

  1. Davido

Best African Music Performance: “With You” (with Omah Lay)

This nomination brings Davido’s total Grammy nominations to five.

  1. Omah Lay

Best African Music Performance: “With You” (with Davido)

Omah Lay earns another Grammy nod through his collaboration with Davido.

  1. Ayra Starr

Best African Music Performance: “Gimme Dat” (with Wizkid)

Ayra Starr continues her rise on the global scene with another major international nomination.

  1. Wizkid

Best African Music Performance: “Gimme Dat” (with Ayra Starr)

Wizkid’s nomination count now stands at six overall, reinforcing his consistent Grammy presence.

Notable Mentions

Nigerian artistes were not nominated in the Best Global Music Performance category this year, unlike in previous editions.

Artists such as Rema, Seyi Vibez, Bnxn, Moliy, Shallipopi, and Asake submitted entries but did not receive nominations.

The Best African Music Performance category, introduced in 2023, once again features Nigerian works, highlighting the sustained global impact of Afrobeats.

Past Nigerian Grammy wins include Burna Boy’s 2021 Best Global Music Album award and Wizkid’s win as a featured artiste on Beyoncé’s project the same year.
