Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Igboho has triggered widespread debate online after openly stating that he practises Christianity while also using traditional charms.
In a viral video circulating on social media, Igboho was seen speaking before a gathering of traditional rulers, where he addressed his background, faith, and spiritual beliefs.
He explained that although he was born and raised in the church, his exposure to traditional spirituality began early in life due to his family background.
Igboho revealed that his father is a well-known babalawo, which influenced his understanding and practice of traditional rites.
He insisted that identifying as a Christian does not prevent him from embracing indigenous beliefs, stressing that he relates comfortably with people across different religions.
Citing Islamic cleric Muideen Ajayi Bello, Igboho argued that religious differences should not hinder coexistence.
His remarks have drawn mixed reactions, with supporters praising his honesty while critics questioned the compatibility of his beliefs.
