Senior pastor of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, Chris Okafor, has condemned online harassment, calling for stricter regulation of Nigeria’s internet space.
Speaking at a Lagos press conference on Thursday, Okafor criticised bloggers and social media influencers for spreading unverified stories that damage reputations.
He referenced allegations made by Nollywood actress Doris Ogala in November 2025, including claims of a long-term affair, murder, and occult practices.
Okafor dismissed the accusations, noting that many reports lacked verification and harmed innocent people.
The pastor also explained a dispute involving his ex-wife and daughter, who requested N80 million from a blogger despite his legal custody of the children.
He urged the National Assembly to legislate cyberspace, called on cyber police to track offenders, and reassured Nigerians that truth would prevail.
Okafor stressed the destructive power of lies online, highlighting the need for accountability in digital spaces.
