Governors from the South-West states are set to meet in Ibadan for an urgent, unscheduled session to discuss critical regional matters, with a particular focus on security challenges across the zone.
The closed-door meeting will take place at the Governor’s Office, Agodi, under the hostmanship of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde. All six governors from Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti are expected to be in attendance.

While details remain limited, sources indicate that the gathering was called to address rising security threats, accelerate infrastructural development, and reinforce regional collaboration under the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN).
The governors are also slated to review ongoing cooperative security measures, including the activities of the Amotekun Corps, with the aim of strengthening its operational capacity to respond to emerging threats in the region.
