Nigerian content creator Papaya Ex has come under scrutiny following allegations by a man who claimed his sister, said to be the influencer’s personal assistant, was owed three months of unpaid salary.
The man made the claims in a viral audio recording, alleging that his sister earned ₦120,000 monthly while working for the social media personality.
According to him, tensions escalated after Papaya Ex reportedly lost her phone during the premiere of a movie attended by several celebrities.
He further alleged that his sister was made to bear the cost of replacing the missing device, a development that prompted him to intervene.
The man also claimed that a confrontation followed, during which his phone was seized and withheld for several days.
As of the time of filing this report, Papaya Ex and her management team had not publicly responded to the allegations. The claims continue to generate reactions across social media platforms.
