A Sagamu Magistrate Court in Ogun State has adjourned the case involving the driver of the Lexus SUV linked to the fatal crash that claimed the lives of two close associates of former heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Joshua.
The court shifted the hearing to January 20, 2026, to allow for further legal proceedings.
The driver, 46-year-old Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, was arraigned on Friday, days after his arrest by the Ogun State Police Command.
Police said the accident occurred on December 29, 2025, along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, near Danco, when the vehicle reportedly lost control during an overtaking manoeuvre and collided with an illegally parked truck.
The crash killed Kevin Latif Ayodele, a British-Nigerian, and Sina Ghami, a British citizen, both members of Joshua’s training team.
Joshua and the driver sustained minor injuries and were later discharged from hospital. Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
