A Nigerian woman has shared a deeply emotional account of discovering, at the age of 28, that her marriage would never produce children.
The story, shared in a viral video on X by user @teeniiola, detailed years of secrecy, stigma and emotional trauma.
According to her, she learned early in the marriage that her husband was impotent, a truth she carried alone, even hiding it from her late mother.
While struggling privately, she faced relentless pressure from her mother-in-law, who insisted her son was fine and blamed her for the childlessness.
She explained that speaking up only worsened her situation, as she was labelled a “bad wife” for confronting the issue.
Now nearing 46, the woman said the pain has dulled, not because she never wanted children, but because her right to choose was taken away.
Her story has sparked widespread discussion online about infertility, silence and unfair judgement in marriages.
