Nigerian music superstar Davido has been confirmed as one of the headline performers for FIFA’s World Cup 2026 Countdown Concert in Los Angeles, United States, scheduled for June 10, as preparations intensify for the global football tournament.
FIFA announced on Tuesday that the award-winning singer will share the stage with Diplo’s Major Lazer during the Los Angeles leg of the first-ever synchronised concert series taking place across the tournament’s host nations — Canada, Mexico and the United States.
According to the global football body, the event will hold at the Crypto.com Arena and form part of activities designed to celebrate the passion, unity and cultural connections associated with the World Cup.
FIFA said the concert will connect live performances from Los Angeles, Mexico City and Toronto, creating a cross-border entertainment experience for fans worldwide.
Tickets became available on June 3, while the event will be streamed globally through FIFA’s digital platforms, including the FIFA World Cup TikTok account and the VuMe Live video-on-demand service.
