His friends ran away, leaving one behind who later returned to the hostel to seek help. A quick rescue team, led by the Dean of Students’ Affairs and others, was dispatched to rescue him, but their efforts proved unsuccessful.”

“When it was assumed he had drowned, the Sarkin Biu (King of Water) was invited to help retrieve his body, but after eight hours of trying, the effort was also unfruitful.”

However, in the early hours of Sunday, his body was eventually found, examined at the school medical center, and confirmed dead before the funeral proceedings.

Bwala Isa has since been buried.
