A Nigerian woman has sparked online debate after questioning the priorities of pastors in the country, asking why so many continue to open churches rather than initiatives that could directly benefit communities.
n a passionate video, she argued that while the nation has countless churches, essential social infrastructure such as schools and hospitals remain insufficient.
“All the churches we have in Nigeria are not even half of the schools or half of the hospitals we have, but you people are still opening more churches,” she said.
She challenged religious leaders to consider whether the Holy Spirit might call them to create industries, empower youths, and provide essential services instead of solely expanding church branches.
“Does the Holy Spirit not call pastors to open industries to help the youths, why are they still opening more churches?” she asked, highlighting the imbalance between spiritual guidance and societal development.
