A Nigerian woman has sparked conversation online after accusing some married men in Abuja of emotionally and financially destabilizing young women they date outside their marriages.
In a viral post, the lady alleged that many young women earning modest salaries are often persuaded by wealthy married men to abandon their simple lifestyles for expensive apartments and luxury living they cannot sustain independently.
According to her, the men allegedly isolate the women from friends and relationships while demanding loyalty despite being legally married.
The woman claimed that problems begin when the men suddenly withdraw financial support or decide to reconcile with their wives after “giving their lives to Christ,” leaving the women stranded in lifestyles they can no longer afford.
She argued that such actions are unfair because the women are often encouraged to depend completely on the men emotionally and financially before being abandoned without preparation.
Her comments have since generated mixed reactions on social media, with many debating responsibility, relationships, and financial independence.
