Nigerian singer Paul Okoye has come under heavy criticism online after making a controversial remark about feminists on his Instagram story.

The twin brother of Peter Okoye questioned why feminists are often above the age of 30 and claimed they usually believe they possess “inner beauty,” a statement many users described as dismissive and age-shaming.

His comment triggered an immediate backlash, with social media users accusing the singer of disrespecting women and belittling the feminist movement.

Some netizens mocked Paul Okoye, while others questioned his maturity and relevance in today’s social climate.

One user blamed internal issues within Psquare on attitudes like his, while another advised him to focus on his music and family instead of stirring unnecessary controversy.

The remark has reignited conversations around feminism in Nigeria, with many awaiting a response or clarification from the singer as criticism continues to trail his post.
