A Spanish livestreamer has died after reportedly consuming drugs during a broadcast in which he was allegedly paid to carry out extreme challenges.
Spanish media outlets El País and El Periódico identified the streamer as Jiménez, who was known on Kick and Twitch as “Sancho” or “Sssanchopanza.”
Reports said he was streaming via a private video call where he undertook risky dares, including drinking alcohol and taking drugs, in exchange for money from viewers.

According to El País, Jiménez ingested a large quantity of cocaine during a YouTube livestream over the weekend and also drank whiskey during what became his final broadcast.
Following the incident, the Mossos d’Esquadra, Catalonia’s regional police, opened an investigation into his death and ordered an autopsy, the report said.
Jiménez’s death occurred a little over four months after the passing of another streamer, French internet personality Jean Pormanove, who died in August. Pormanove, 46, was similarly known for undertaking extreme challenges on livestreams.
His death sparked public criticism and prompted French authorities to investigate the streaming platform Kick over content that included depictions of physical and verbal abuse.
However, prosecutors later said an autopsy showed that Pormanove’s death “was not traumatic in origin and was not linked to the intervention of a third party,” according to the Nice prosecutor’s office.
