Internet personalty, Isaac Fayose, has predicted the wife of former Anambra state governor and former presidential candidate, Peter Obi, may be moved to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) soon.

Fayose, further stirred fresh political debate with claims that another state governor may be on the verge of defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC), as he sarcastically hailed President Bola Tinubu’s expanding influence ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a video circulating online, Fayose suggested that behind-the-scenes moves are already in motion, using metaphorical language to describe what he termed a “decamp test” and “medicals” for the yet-to-be-identified governor.

He however did not provide evidence or name any specific individual.

“Kai, I don bow for Tinubu,” Fayose declared, applauding what he portrayed as the President’s tightening political hold across party lines.

He pointed to the recent defection of a son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to the APC as further proof of shifting allegiances within Nigeria’s political elite. Fayose also referenced the daughter of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who recently joined the ruling party.

In remarks that have since drawn mixed reactions, Fayose claimed that more high-profile figures, including family members of opposition leaders, could eventually align with the APC.

He specifically mentioned Peter Obi, suggesting he would not be surprised if members of Obi’s wife made such a move.

Fayose said: ” Be like say a new governor go decampt any moment from now, e don dey go on decamp test. E don dey do medicals. Kai, i don bow for Tinubu. Even Atiku son don leave him papa go join APC. All our Igbo brothers, their own no difficult, you know say igbo dem like money. Everybody don change cap from Igbo cap to ‘standing on the mandate cap’ . All the blogs don silent. Tinubu history for our country na special history. Baba i bow o. I won’t be suprised if Peter Obi wife decamp, because Obasanjo and Atiku pikin dey with Tinubu. 2027, Tinubu is almost on 89%. The remaining 11%, he just dey look. I won’t be surprised if Obi wife join, leave her husband for ADC.”
