Mohammed, the former Vice Chairman for PDP North Central, addressed supporters at the party’s FCT office, confirming his assumption of the acting leadership role.

His appointment followed a decision by the Samuel Anyanwu-led National Working Committee (NWC) to suspend National Chairman Umar Damagum and National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba, paving the way for Mohammed to take over temporarily.
The development underscores ongoing internal turbulence within the PDP as factions continue to assert control over the opposition party’s leadership.
