Popular Nollywood actress Faithia Balogun has announced the death of her mother, revealing that the tragic loss occurred just hours before a birthday celebration held in her honour.
In an emotional message to friends and fans, the actress explained that she recently marked her 55th birthday and chose to host a party days later, unaware that her mother had passed away on the eve of the event.
Faithia described her late mother as her biggest supporter, prayer partner, confidante, and best friend, admitting that the reality of her passing has yet to fully sink in.
She said the news was deliberately kept from her at the time, a decision she described as deeply painful.
While taking comfort in her faith and trust in Allah, the actress disclosed that her family has decided to keep the matter private for now.
She appealed for prayers and support for herself and her siblings during the difficult period, adding that burial arrangements would be announced later.
