Nollywood actress Uche Montana has firmly denied any involvement in alleged drug-related issues reportedly affecting Regina Daniels, wife of Senator Ned Nwoko.
In an Instagram post on Monday, Montana said she was being wrongly implicated in claims that she interfered in Daniels’ rehabilitation process.
The statement follows a Facebook post by Nwoko alleging that some of Daniels’ friends and relatives disrupted her treatment and supplied substances she was receiving therapy for.
Montana wrote: “I have no connection to the situation described. I am making this statement to clarify my position and protect my peace.”
The controversy erupted after Daniels, in a viral video, described her life in her marital home as restrictive and claimed she faced abuse.
Nwoko countered, asserting that Daniels was struggling with substance and alcohol use and accused her of aggressive behaviour towards domestic staff.
The actress’ statement comes amid growing social media attention, with fans and industry colleagues weighing in on the dispute.
Montana appears determined to distance herself from the ongoing tensions, emphasising that the accusations against her are unfounded.
A source close to Montana told journalists that the actress has been deeply concerned about the spread of misinformation and hopes her statement will end the speculation.
The source added that Montana is focusing on her professional projects and personal well-being.
The Daniels-Nwoko controversy continues to dominate online discussions, with public opinion divided and calls for clarity from both parties growing louder.
