Nigerian singer Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, has sparked widespread reactions online after playfully calling out Ghanaian stars Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy over what she described as biased officiating in Nigeria’s recent AFCON match.
In a viral video, the singer jokingly accused Ghanaians of influencing the outcome of the game through a referee she referred to as their “brother.”
Visibly emotional but humorous, Teni said the defeat had affected her deeply.
She went further to appeal directly to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging him to “send a fighter jet to Ghana,” while lamenting that she had not felt well since the loss.
The clip, which has since gone viral on social media, has generated mixed reactions, with many Nigerians finding her comments hilarious while others described them as exaggerated.
The singer’s dramatic outburst adds to the growing list of celebrity reactions following the Super Eagles’ disappointing result.
