Islamic cleric Ahmad Gumi has reacted to the reported death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, describing him as “a lucky soul” who died in what Gumi called jihad.
In a statement on Facebook, Gumi praised Khamenei for standing firmly against those he described as killers of innocent women and children in Gaza and other regions.
Gumi asserted that Khamenei’s death would inspire change within the Muslim community, highlighting his unwavering commitment to his beliefs and refusal to retreat from conflict.
“His blood will fuel the change in the ummah. He stood firmly for justice and didn’t hide in bunkers,” Gumi wrote.
He also warned those involved in Khamenei’s killing, suggesting that their actions would not go unaccounted for.
Khamenei, who had led Iran for decades as both a political and religious figure, reportedly died following an Israeli strike in Tehran on Saturday, marking the end of a significant era in Iran’s leadership and Middle Eastern geopolitics.
