The Katsina State Police Command has successfully foiled an attempted bandit attack along the Kandawa–Dankar corridor in Batsari Local Government Area, seizing two AK-47 rifles, 24 rounds of ammunition, and a motorcycle.

Police spokesperson Abubakar Sadiq, in a statement on Saturday, said the operation followed intelligence indicating that armed bandits planned to blockade the route.

He explained that the prompt deployment of the Divisional Police Officer and his team led to a confrontation, forcing the attackers to flee and abandon their weapons.
