A viral video has sparked heated debate online after a young woman set what many describe as “brutal” financial standards for men.
The lady insisted that by age 25, men should already own houses, cars, and have at least 100 million naira in savings, framing financial stability as a non-negotiable aspect of manhood.
In the clip, she explained that women are capable of generating income and challenged men to take responsibility for their own success.
“Don’t get angry when a woman comes and she can’t date a man that does not have money. Because even me as a lady, I’m successful.
I’m working out for myself. So what excuse do you as a man have to sit down idle and be broke?” she said.
Her comments have provoked mixed reactions, with some praising her honesty, while others criticised her expectations as unrealistic, highlighting ongoing conversations about gender roles and societal pressures on young men.
