Nollywood actor Ayo Olaiya has emotionally remembered his late mother on the 26th anniversary of her passing, expressing deep sorrow that she did not live to enjoy the rewards of her sacrifices.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, the Yoruba actor said he still misses her care, love, advice, encouragement, motivation and prayers, describing the years since her death as though it happened only yesterday.
Olaiya thanked God for giving him the grace to support her with the little income he earned as a bakery clerk before she died, but lamented that she never had the opportunity to eat the fruits of her labour.
Declaring his enduring love and gratitude, he said that if given the chance to be born a million times, he would always choose her as his mother.
He concluded by praying for her continued peaceful rest while honouring her memory with heartfelt tributes.
