Socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has condemned the recent killings in Jos, describing the violence as disturbing and inhumane, while questioning the persistence of insecurity in Plateau State.
In a post shared on social media, he said disturbing footage of victims had continued to haunt him and urged authorities to act decisively.
He criticised the response of officials during a visit by Governor Caleb Mutfwang, arguing that leaders must show courage and empathy rather than rely on heavy security protection.
Okechukwu further alleged that the timing of the attacks was politically motivated to embarrass President Bola Tinubu on his birthday, a claim he said should prompt heightened vigilance from security agencies.
The governor had earlier confirmed multiple fatalities from the assault and pledged that perpetrators would be brought to justice.
The incident has intensified calls for improved security coordination across communities in Plateau State. Authorities continue investigations as tension remains high locally.
