Several widely used websites, including X, and OpenAI’s ChatGPT, experienced temporary disruptions on Tuesday due to a technical issue at Cloudflare, a leading internet infrastructure provider.
Users trying to access the affected sites encountered error messages referencing an “internal server error on Cloudflare’s network,” often accompanied by a prompt to “please try again in a few minutes.” The outage was first reported around 1:00 p.m. Nigerian time.

Cloudflare, which offers services such as protection against cyberattacks and ensuring website stability under heavy traffic, acknowledged the incident in a status update:
“Cloudflare is aware of, and investigating an issue which potentially impacts multiple customers. Further detail will be provided as more information becomes available.”
Although some websites briefly loaded after refreshing, the disruption prevented normal access for a significant number of users. The issue has since been resolved, with most major platforms restored to full functionality.
