An associate of popular socialite and music promoter Sam Larry has dismissed widespread rumours claiming he died after a recent road accident, confirming that he is alive and receiving treatment.
Akin Abolade, popularly known as Mr Lilgaga, said he spoke with Sam Larry shortly after the crash and insisted reports of his death were false.
The socialite was reportedly involved in a serious accident along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road in Lagos State after the vehicle conveying him collided with a trailer.
Viral videos from the scene showed the vehicle extensively damaged, while reports indicated that his bouncer, identified as Wale, died at the scene.
The incident sparked concern after comedian Mario Wazobia appealed for prayers on social media.
Reacting to speculation that Sam Larry’s legs were severely damaged and could be amputated, Abolade said he could not confirm those claims but maintained that the music promoter survived the crash despite the severity of the accident.
