Nigerian singer Spyro has revealed that he met his partner, Janet Atom, while she was working at a nightclub, explaining that their unexpected encounter grew from friendship into a lasting relationship.
Speaking in an interview, the singer clarified that Janet was at the club in a professional capacity, not as a guest, stressing that his story should not be seen as criticism of people who enjoy nightlife.
He said curiosity about why she worked there led to their first conversation, which gradually developed into a close friendship.
Spyro admitted he never intended for the relationship to become permanent but later realised Janet possessed the qualities he had always wanted in a life partner.
“What I had been looking for was right in front of me,” he said, adding that he decided to pursue the relationship before missing the opportunity.
He said their journey showed meaningful relationships can emerge from genuine conversations and understanding.
