Actress Iyabo Ojo has explained why she allowed her ex-husband to attend their daughter Priscilla’s wedding, saying the decision was driven by her determination to break unhealthy family patterns and protect her daughter’s future.

Speaking during an interview with Morayo Afolabi-Brown, the actress said she did not want her children to experience the effects of divorce as she did while growing up.

She noted that despite the breakdown of her marriage, she was determined not to let personal differences affect her children’s lives.

According to Iyabo, she had made sacrifices to ensure Priscilla enjoys a happy and successful marriage, insisting there was no reason to exclude her father since he is alive and had done nothing wrong to their daughter.

She stressed that the disagreement between her and her former husband was strictly between them and should not interfere with their daughter’s special day.

Priscilla married in April 2025 during ceremonies held in Lagos and Tanzania.
