Reality star and actress Bam Bam’s phone reportedly went missing during the service of songs held in honour of late Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo, prompting a search effort at the memorial gathering.
The event, organised by the actor’s family on Wednesday, brought together friends, colleagues and well-wishers to pay tribute to Ekubo, who died in May after battling a chronic illness.
Amid the solemn atmosphere, reports emerged that Bam Bam’s mobile device could not be found.
A trending video from the event showed the actress alongside other attendees attempting to locate the missing phone. In the footage, a voice could be heard saying the device was being called and was ringing, but no one answered.
The incident has since generated reactions online, with a caption accompanying the video condemning the alleged theft and urging whoever had taken the phone to return it.
No official information on the device’s recovery was available at the time of reporting.
