With smartphone prices soaring in Nigeria, finding an iPhone that fits a tight budget can feel impossible. However, several older but reliable Apple models are still available in the market for less than ₦160,000, offering users a chance to enjoy iOS performance, solid cameras and durable build quality without breaking the bank.

With the rising cost of smartphones and the weakening naira pushing flagship devices further out of reach, many Nigerians are turning to older iPhone models as affordable alternatives.

Despite their age, some of these devices still deliver dependable performance, quality cameras and access to Apple’s iOS ecosystem.

Here are four iPhone models currently selling in the Nigerian market for below N160,000, making them budget-friendly options for users seeking value without sacrificing functionality:

  1. iPhone 6 (16–64 GB) Usually priced around N60,000–N80,000 depending on storage and condition. Good for light use (calls, WhatsApp, basic apps), but battery and performance are quite dated.
  2. iPhone 6s (16–64 GB) Commonly goes for about N85,000–N99,000 for grade‑A UK‑used units. Better than the 6 thanks to a faster A9 chip and support for more modern iOS versions.
  3. iPhone 6s Plus (16–64 GB) Often sold around N95,000–N105,000 in Nigeria. Larger screen and better battery than the 6s, still under your ₦160k budget.
  4. iPhone 7 (32–128 GB) Typical price range is N125,000–N135,000 for 32–128 GB UK‑used models. Water‑resistant body, good camera for its age, and one of the more “value” iPhones below ₦160k.
