Nigerian singer Iyanya has spoken candidly about his ongoing struggle with celibacy and why marriage is currently not on his priority list.
The 39-year-old made the revelation during an appearance on the Afropolitan Podcast, admitting that staying celibate has been a difficult and inconsistent journey.
“My celibacy goes up and down. Sometimes I meet someone and I struggle,” the singer confessed, explaining that attraction and real-life situations often test his resolve.
yanya revealed that although he genuinely tries to stay disciplined, there are moments when he slips and later regrets not remaining committed.
Beyond celibacy, the singer addressed questions about settling down, making it clear that he is presently focused on healing rather than marriage.
“I’m on a healing journey. Marriage is not my priority right now,” he said.
He added that honesty now guides his relationships, stressing that being upfront prevents emotional harm.
