Popular Onitsha-based cleric, Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, widely known as Prophet Odumeje, has declared 2026 a year of intense spiritual warfare, describing it as a season of “kabush kabash.”
He made the declaration during his church’s crossover service, where his message drew loud reactions from members of the congregation.
According to Odumeje, the new year will be characterised by unseen battles and spiritual confrontations, which he claimed he is fully prepared to face.
Using his trademark dramatic gestures, the cleric assured worshippers that divine backing would fight on their behalf.
“Kabush kabash,” a slang phrase popularised by Odumeje, has no direct English meaning but is frequently used by him during moments of heightened spiritual emphasis.
The cleric urged followers not to fear, insisting that the battles ahead would not be theirs alone.
Known for his controversial preaching style, Odumeje remains one of Nigeria’s most polarising religious figures, often attracting attention for bold declarations and unconventional sermons.
