Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has announced the completion of her divorce from her former husband, Frederick Leonard, expressing gratitude on social media over what she described as a new chapter in her life.
In an Instagram Story post, Ovire wrote, “Thank you, Jesus. It is done,” before reposting a congratulatory message from colleague Angela Eguavoen, who celebrated her “newfound freedom.”
The development comes weeks after the actress publicly accused Leonard of having an affair with a married woman and alleged that he delayed the divorce process by failing to appear after being served court papers.
She also shared a video showing Leonard alongside his alleged lover, urging him not to miss a scheduled customary court appearance.
Ovire and Leonard married in a star-studded ceremony in Asaba, Delta State, in November 2022, after previously speaking publicly about their love and commitment.
