Nigerian music stars Tems and Burna Boy have set a new record for African artists on the U.S Billboard Hot 100 chart, achieving eight entries each—surpassing the previous record shared with South African band Seether.
The milestone was reached through collaborations on J. Cole’s latest album, The Fall-Off, with Tems featured on Bounce Road Blues alongside Future, debuting at number 34, and Burna Boy appearing on Only You, landing at number 78.
Tems has now achieved three Hot 100 entries in 2026 alone, making her the African artist with the most entries this year.
Burna Boy has charted for six consecutive years, solidifying his global presence with hits including Loved By You, Last Last, and We Pray.
This landmark achievement underscores the growing influence of African music on international platforms and the global reach of Nigerian artistes.
