Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, has claimed that the Federal Government is aware of the identities and locations of terrorists operating in the country.
Gumi made the assertion during an interview on DRTV while responding to allegations that he maintains contacts with bandits and insurgents and acts as an advocate for them.
The cleric, who has at various times engaged armed groups in dialogue in the North-West, said the authorities possess detailed information about those involved in acts of terrorism.

According to him, security agencies are not ignorant of the individuals behind the attacks, insisting that the government knows “every terrorist by name and location.
“The government knows every terrorist by name and location. I don’t go alone to negotiate — I go with the police, military, and other security agencies.
“I would go to the Emirs. In fact, when we went to one forest. I even went with women into the bush,” he said.
