Three men have been arrested in Algeria after a bizarre attempt to cross illegally into Spain by disguising themselves as sheep inside a livestock truck.
According to reports, the suspects hid among real animals being transported across the border, hoping the unusual costume would help them evade security checks.
The plan failed during a routine inspection when border officials noticed several “sheep” behaving oddly.
Officers reportedly became suspicious after observing some of the animals standing upright and moving on two legs.
A closer search revealed that three of the sheep were, in fact, human beings wearing animal disguises.
The men were immediately removed from the vehicle and taken into custody. Authorities say the suspects are now facing charges related to immigration fraud.
They may also face further allegations, including animal cruelty, after allegedly stepping on and disturbing the livestock during the failed attempt. The incident has since sparked reactions online.
