Nigerian music legend 2Baba has ruled out any possibility of reuniting with his former group, Plantashun Boiz, declaring he has moved on from that chapter of his career.
The award-winning singer, born Innocent Idibia, made this known during a recent radio interview with media personality Steve Onu while marking his 25 years on stage.
Addressing speculation about a reunion, 2Baba stated that although he harbours no ill feelings towards former members Blackface and Faze, he has no interest in revisiting the group.
“Other members of the group can go ahead, but as for me, I’m not interested,” he said.Plantashun Boiz dominated Nigeria’s early 2000s music scene before splitting.
Despite continued calls from fans, 2Baba’s stance signals a firm focus on his solo legacy.
